01 Who we are and scope
Axielo LLC ("Axielo," "we," "us," or "our") is a California limited liability company developing Emotional AI products, speech technologies, models, and related research. For data-protection purposes, Axielo is the controller of personal information covered by this Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to axielo.com and to any Axielo website, application, product, or service that expressly links to it. A product-specific privacy policy controls if it provides more specific or conflicting information about that product.
02 Mimica, our lead consumer product
Mimica is Axielo’s AI-powered language-learning service for English and Spanish. The Mimica Privacy Policy is the authoritative notice for Mimica and explains how the service handles account and authentication information, tutoring audio, conversation content, usage and learning data, subscriptions, jurisdiction and consent records, and optional personalized-voice data.
The Axielo corporate website does not itself create Mimica accounts, capture tutoring audio, or process personalized-voice profiles. Links from axielo.com to Mimica take you to a separately governed product experience.
03 Information we collect
We collect information in the following circumstances:
- Information you provide. If you contact us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any business or contact details you choose to provide.
- Website and device information. Our hosting, delivery, and security providers may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and diagnostic or security events.
- Product-specific information. If you use an Axielo product, that product may collect account, content, usage, audio, payment-reference, or other information described in its own privacy notice.
The Echos section of axielo.com currently provides research and product information; it does not provide model access or accept speech or model inputs.
04 How we use information
We use covered information to:
- deliver, operate, maintain, and secure our websites and services;
- respond to inquiries and provide support;
- understand website reliability and diagnose technical problems;
- develop and improve products, models, research, and service operations where permitted by the applicable product notice and law;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- enforce our agreements and protect rights and safety; and
- comply with legal obligations.
06 No sale, behavioral advertising, or third-party ads
Axielo does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or provide personal information to data brokers. The Axielo corporate website does not serve third-party advertising.
If our practices change or applicable law treats a future activity as a "sale" or "sharing," we will update this Policy and provide required notices and choices before applying that activity.
07 Website services and analytics
The current Axielo corporate site does not include advertising trackers. Infrastructure providers may still process the technical request and security information necessary to deliver the site. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential tracking, we will provide any notice or consent mechanism required by law and update this Policy.
08 Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to communications, operating and securing services, complying with law, resolving disputes, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Product data may have different retention periods. For example, Mimica account, conversation, learning, and personalized-voice retention is described in the Mimica Privacy Policy.
09 Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No transmission, storage system, or security method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10 Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information; request a copy; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; or opt out of legally defined sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and related laws, including rights to know, correct, and delete covered personal information and to opt out of legally defined sale or sharing. Axielo does not sell or share personal information as described in Section 6.
To make a request concerning information governed by this Policy, contact legal@axielo.com. We may need to verify your identity. For Mimica account deletion and product-specific rights, follow the process in the Mimica Privacy Policy.
11 Children
Axielo Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. Mimica is intended for users aged 13 and older; its optional personalized-voice feature has additional age requirements described in Mimica’s product terms.
If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
12 International processing
Axielo is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
13 Third-party links and services
Our website may link to third-party websites, app stores, platforms, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Axielo is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.
14 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
